“The studio’s most guarded secret is to always keep going and to never lose the interest and passion in what they are doing.”
What’s the idea behind your poster?
This poster represents my colleagues at Studio Es, and is inspired by Studio Es’ undaunted encouragement to persevere in storm and stress. Passion drives us and is highly contagious. In that sense it’s a sickness we welcome to spread. The eyes represent our visual medium and are a quick metaphor for creative vision. The exaggerated size is a grotesque caricature of how important vision is to us. But personally, I think seeing only binds the vision to the eye, and more important than our two eyes is the one that’s in our mind. However, I wanted to make a minimalist and instantly understood work, and I decided not to convolute the poster with too much philosophy or obscurity. It’s a nostalgic pop classic.
