“Me and the studio matched, because of a shared balance of chaos and control.”
What’s the idea behind your poster?
The visual landscape most designers encounter daily is a chaotic mess. Vulgar storefronts, ads vying for attention, and poor typography lurk on every street corner and in every new tab. Some try to insulate themselves from the noise by creating a friendly, minimalist design which follows predictable rules and soothes the viewer, but I have always been drawn to designers who incorporate the chaotic design vernacular into their work. I noticed Kokoro & Moi because they struck a delicate chord between this unpredictable chaos and the careful control of a unified brand identity. While I may not yet understand the subtleties of this balance, we matched because they recognized that I am eager to learn.
